Boundaries is a contemporary b allet performance, which took place as part of the  Chinese Ballet Stars Gala at the Shanghai International Dance Center  on July 19th 2024.


“Boundaries give rise to all separations: the division of light and dark, yin and yang, nations, you and me.

For two sides, the line of boundary symbolizes opposition, yet it also distinguishes the tangible from the intangible, the many from the self, principles from bottom lines, affection from numbness, eternity from moments.

It is the completeness of boundaries that brings clarity and definition to the various states of chaos.”


During the process, we explored the concept of boundaries through abstract visuals, and dynamic movements. This work delves into how boundaries are formed, inverted, and evolved.
