Beibei Wang x Toolbox: World of Sounds

Immersive Audiovisual for Music Performance


 

As a visual designer, I collaborated with percussionist Beibei Wang on her immersive live concert at 7th TICA Fest in Hong Kong East Kowloon Cultural Centre.

Anchored in contemporary percussion, the programme reinterprets the ancient Chinese “eight sounds”, which are traditionally defined by natural materials such as metal, stone, clay, and leather. My visual design draws on natural textures combined with generative abstract motion, including water-like waves and string-like forms, to translate musical gestures into evolving visual patterns. These visuals respond to rhythm and intensity in the performance, highlighting the connection between nature’s cycles and human expression.
